Senior counsel as the default, not the upgrade.
CogentPro Communications is a public relations and integrated communications firm for companies whose stories are harder to tell than most: technical, regulated, or simply unfamiliar.
Experienced people do the work.
That is a small firm's real advantage, and it is easy to lose. It disappears the moment the client list grows faster than the bench. So we keep the list short, and senior attention stays a structural fact rather than a promise made at the pitch.
We are judged on whether the right audiences changed their minds, not on how much coverage appeared. That distinction shapes what we take on, and what goes in a monthly report.

Priyanka Goswami
Founder
CogentPro was founded by Priyanka Goswami after 15 years providing strategic communications for organisations including Samsung, PwC, NCDEX, Cambridge University Press and EverEnviro Resource Management.
That is a consumer electronics giant, a professional services firm, a commodities exchange, an academic publisher and a waste-to-energy business. The range is the reason the firm is comfortable with subjects that most agencies treat as too technical to sell, and it is why a first meeting here tends to start with the substance rather than the channel plan.
Her work has run from building a communications function from nothing, through board-level counsel during scrutiny, to briefing correspondents on waste processing economics and microfinance portfolio data. The through-line is unglamorous: reading the subject properly, then finding the argument in it that a journalist can defend to an editor.
She remains directly involved in every account the firm takes on, from the first conversation through to the monthly report, and is reachable directly at priyanka@cogentpro.in.

“She built the communications practice here with very little to start from, brought structure to it, established the right external relationships, and ensured we had a consistent presence where it mattered. She knows her work and she delivers. That, in my experience, is what counts.”
Four things the firm keeps returning to.
They are not slogans. Each one costs us something, usually revenue we could have taken, or a number we could have reported more flatteringly.
- The argument, then the amplification
- We settle what is worth saying and why it is credible before we approach anyone. Volume is easy to buy and easy to ignore.
- Senior counsel as standard
- A boutique's real advantage is that experienced people do the work. We protect that by keeping the client list small.
- Fluent in difficult subjects
- Waste-to-energy economics, microfinance portfolios, regulated financial products. We brief journalists ourselves.
- Accountable measurement
- Quality-weighted coverage, share of voice and message pull-through, reported honestly, including flat months.
“CogentPro has consistently demonstrated a deep understanding of our industry, actively scouting storytelling opportunities in the sectors we serve. Their expertise, proactive approach and creative solutions have strengthened our brand among key audiences, including policymakers and the media.”
